Firefighter

I once thought of a quote by a firefighter
"How can you run into a burning building when everyone is running out,"asked one man.
The firefighter simply said.....its my job and its my duty to save someone on the floor if needed....but how i do it is courage because i hope someone would do it for me.

Walking with a Friend

It has been 4 years since I've last seen my friend alive. He died in a car accident. A drunk driver forced him and his brother off the road. I watched his car slam into the tree. We had just gotten home from a soccer game. He played on my team before i moved here to Owensboro. I was watching them leave and it wasn't a mile down the road until I saw them drill the tree. I still remember that day extremely well. I guess somethings with time don't fade away. My game tonight will only fade with time.

Flame

You think id some how figure out
That if you strike the match
You're bound to fine the flame
You think I'd learn my Lesson by now
Somehow figure out
That if i walk away that i may never come back
That i may leave this town for all to see
You think I'd learn my lesson by now
Some how figure out
That my time to leave is finally here

My Fathers Words

My father's wisdom sometimes catches me off guard. Many time its whenever I hear the "It will make you a better person" speech. It is good to hear sometimes but it gets old. He caught me off guard though the other day. I'm just getting done with a soccer game in which I didn't play a lot because of cramps but he told me, " Son, it doesn't matter that you don't play sometimes it matters more and you get more respect if you just try to. People know your hurt not just thinking your lazy." Thanks Dad it helped me.
